Sharp / Privacy policy
SharpPrivacy policy
What we collect, why, and how to get it deleted. In plain English.
Last updated: 4 October 2026
- We collect as little as we can: mainly your email address, and what you bought.
- Numbers you type into the tools never leave your browser.
- We don't sell your data, show ads, or use tracking cookies.
- Ask us and we'll delete your data.
What we collect, and when
- If you join the waitlist: your email address and the plan you reserved. FormSubmit, a form service, passes them to our business inbox (Gmail), where we keep them.
- If you create an account: your email address, when the account was created (so the 3-day trial knows when to end) and which plan you own. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name and email address with us. Accounts are stored with Supabase.
- If you buy a plan: Stripe handles the payment. We never see or store your card number. Stripe tells us your email address, what you bought, the amount and the date.
- On your own device: your lesson progress, quiz answers and sign-in session are saved in your browser's storage so they're there next time. They are not sent to us. The numbers you type into the tools stay in your browser and are never sent or saved.
- When any page loads: like every website, the services that deliver Sharp see your IP address and browser type. They are our host (GitHub Pages), Google Fonts (for the lettering) and jsDelivr (for the sign-in code). We don't run analytics or advertising trackers. If that changes, this page will say so first.
Why we use it
- To run your account, unlock what you paid for and run the free trial.
- To send emails you asked for: sign-in links, receipts, and launch news if you joined the waitlist. Reply "unsubscribe" to any of our emails and we'll take you off the list.
- To handle refunds, support questions and fraud.
Who we share it with
Only the services that make Sharp work: Supabase (accounts), Stripe (payments), FormSubmit and Google (waitlist sign-ups and email), and the page-delivery services listed above. They may only use your data to provide their service to us. We don't sell or rent your data to anyone. We'd only share more if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Account data stays while your account is open. Ask us to delete it and we'll do that within 30 days. Payment records may be kept longer where tax law requires it. Waitlist emails are deleted if you unsubscribe or ask.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct, download or delete your data, and you can unsubscribe from emails at any time. Some laws, such as Europe's GDPR and California's CCPA, give you these rights formally; we'll honour the requests wherever you live. Email the contact email listed here before launch from the address on your account.
Children
Sharp isn't for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child under 13 has signed up, tell us and we'll delete the account. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to make an account, and they need to make any purchase.
Security
Every page is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). There are no passwords to steal: you sign in with a one-time email link or Google. Paid course content sits behind database rules that check what you own. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affects your data, we'll tell you.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and, if you have an account, email you. Questions: the contact email listed here before launch.
